Tar Sands: High carbon infrastructure lock-in and the U.S.

Время и место

This Workshop focuses on the U.S.´s role in tar sands development and its impacts on the need of low carbon development strategies. In particular, the panelists will discuss the U.S.’ Copenhagen Accord emission reduction pledges in the context of the U.S. State Department’s central role in deciding the future of new tar sands pipelines that would further lock the U.S. into tar sands oil production and a high-carbon infrastructure.
